"Over the Hedge"

Saturday at 12pm the mail lady came to our door while I was putting my son down for a nap. The doorbell rang and I ran to answer it only to find a big envelope with the return address from Elgin, Illinois this is where International Teams is located. With excitement and uncertainty I picked up the envelope and took it to the couch to open it. I then began to feel nervous and wonder what if IT doesn't accept us. Maybe this is a letter to say thank you but no thank you. I then called Susan to tell her and she came home to do the honor's of opening the envelope since I was a tad reluctant. Guess what? She opened it and it said........Welcome to International Teams! Whoa.......!
Nothing to worry about.
So I guess I better get plane tickets since we will be flying to Chicago in just over 6 weeks. As I said earlier the training is 5 weeks long from September 8th through October 13th. Hopefully we will be able to go up to Wisconsin and down to Indiana to see some friends during that time.

Peace,

Fear

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself! I have been thinking about fear lately after seeing one of my kids stricken with fear. For me it was not a big deal but to her it was the difference between life and death. She didn't get her homework done, then she was scared that she was going to miss the bus, and then she froze. At that moment I realized she couldn't motivate herself to do anything because she was afraid of the future. Frozen with fear. How many times do you or I find ourselves holding back or frozen because of fear. Maybe it is the unknown that you are afraid of or maybe you know but you are still afraid. God says in Genesis 26:24 "Do not be afraid for I am with you." He was talking to Abraham and giving him a great promise of what was to become of his life and then He says, "Do not be afraid." Wow. Life sometimes seems very uncertain but He will be with us! Check out this video of a cat that has no fear. And remember if a cat can jump in head first we should too! Peace

Please pray for God's provision!

http://www.iteams.org
September 9th is coming very soon to a theatre near you. Susan is finishing her job on the first of September. We are planning on flying out to Chicago on the eighth of September and leave the kids with Nana and Papa for two weeks while the girls finish their first quarter of school. Then we are flying back to pick them all up and take them back for the last three weeks of training. Our babysitter from Wisconsin is driving down to watch the kids while we finish.

The training expenses and room and board come to $5,000 and the traveling to and from come to $1,400.

Would you be so kind to enter into prayer asking God who owns every dime in this world for His provision.

You are so kind!

Peace

A Father's Wound

I knew of a man who had a childhood one rarely speaks of. The kind of childhood where the pain of reality is too great to discuss. The wound...
